"Everything about our stay in Snowberry Cottage has exceeded our expectations. The cottage is warm and cosy, and the kitchen is well appointed with everything we needed. This is our sixth visit to Lewis, and Snowberry Cottage is by far the best house we’ve stayed in. We’ve had a marvellous time — including seeing eight eagles!"

Do you offer gift vouchers and how are they delivered?
Yes—our gift vouchers are available and can be delivered by post or as a PDF by email, which is perfect for last-minute gifts. They’re a thoughtful way to share a future stay on the island with friends or family. Redemption details, validity, and any terms are explained during purchase and in our T&Cs; if you’re unsure about anything, contact us before buying.
What’s the best way to get to the Isle of Lewis and find the cottage?

We recommend checking travel schedules in advance and allowing extra time during peak seasons or in poor weather.

We also indicate what’s typically provided for a comfortable stay and what guests might like to bring for personal preference. If there’s something important to your plans, get in touch and we’ll confirm before you travel.

Start with the “Things to See and Do” page for curated highlights, from scenic walks and beaches to cultural and historical sites. Our Blog also shares seasonal ideas, local insights, and inspiration to help you plan your itinerary. If you have particular interests, tell us and we’ll point you to relevant options.
How do you use cookies, and can I control them?
We use cookies to analyze website traffic and optimize your website experience. By accepting our use of cookies, your data will be aggregated with all other user data. You can accept or decline cookies via the consent banner, and you can learn more about how we handle data in our Privacy Policy.
Are you pet friendly?
I'm afraid we do not accept dogs other than service dogs.
Do you have Wifi?
We do have WiFi! WiFi is available throughout the Cottage and is free of charge. WiFi login details are provided in our guest handbook on arrival.
Do you have a minimum night stay?
During the summer months (April to September), we have a minimum three night stay. Occasionally, if there are small gaps, we may reduce this, but not on request, we are afraid. We both work full time, so it can be tricky to turnaround the Cottage. During the winter months we may reduce our minimum night stay. In extraordinary circumstances, there may be times where we have to extend the minimum night stay, but these are extremely limited occasions.
